Jennifer L. Kopp has
been Director of Choirs at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park for the past 10 years. Mrs. Kopp holds a B.A. degree
in Vocal Music Education from Eastern Michigan University, where she studied under the late Dr. Leonard Riccinto. Mrs.
Kopp also holds a M.A. in Teaching from Marygrove College.
During her tenure, the PCEP Choir program has greatly
increased in numbers and in the depth and challenge of their work. The PCEP Choirs have performed on stage at Carnegie
Hall in New York City; Chicago, Illinois; Sandusky, Ohio; Toronto, Canada; Cincinnati, Ohio; the Michigan Governor's Mansion
in Lansing, MI; Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI; and at the Michigan Music Conference in Grand Rapids, MI. In addition,
the PCEP Choirs have appeared on the NBC and PBS (WPTV Detroit) television networks. In 2010 in PCEP Choirs will perform a
concert of the works of Eric Whitacre at Carnegie Hall under the composer's baton. The PCEP Choirs are consistently recognized
as having some of of the top high school vocal ensembles in the state of Michigan and in the region.
Mrs.
Kopp has served as the Musical Director for PCEP's Park Players and PCEP's Second Stage Players lending her talents
to productions of The Sound of Music, Pippin, Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods,
and The Apple Tree. In addition, Mrs. Kopp is a founding member of The Len Riccinto Singers and a past member
of the Plymouth Orartorio Society.
Mrs. Kopp lives in Ypsilanti, MI with her husband, daughter, and son.
